“Today’s Vital Signs report points out Waterloo Region does not have enough licensed child care spaces.
Right now, only 31% of preschoolers, 21% of toddlers and 2% of infants can be accommodated. While I am pleased to see some investment, very little has changed in 13 years of Liberal government and families in Waterloo Region know that access to affordable childcare remains a crisis in this province.
Ontario needs a comprehensive child care strategy that focuses on affordable, accessible and quality child care.”
